West Ajijic Restaurants and Markets

West Ajijic is the “up and coming” area of Lake Chapala. Many of the restaurants and businesses that were traditionally in Ajijic proper have made the move out of the village, and with land still available, it is THE place to live and retire to in Lake Chapala.

Traveling from East to West as we leave the village of Ajijic, here are the places you need to know about.

Intercam Bank is Ajijic's favorite "foreign" bank offering English speaking employees and excellent customer service. Special note: "tourists" can open an account with Intercam.

The famous West Ajijic Brew House (Corazon de Malta) started as a micro brewery and then got together with the owners of Adalita's Restaurant (in San Antonio) to start the restaurant side of the business.
